We are beyond thrilled to bring DMV legend Karizma to Dance Club on February 17th at a new venue, Hill Prince on H St NE!

Baltimore native Karizma is known for his wizardry behind the decks using stunts, acapellas, and skill to work CDJs in new and pioneering ways. Karizma has especially inspired Dance Club resident Baronhawk in his DJ and production techniques and has taken on a mentorship role for Baron.

Dance Club will be held in Hill Prince’s carriage house behind the bar, and helping us break in this new venue is Artemis on lights and the incredible Dreamweaver sound system.

Karizma’s 30+ year career began when he started DJing at age 13 in Baltimore and soon made a name for himself as a producer and through collaborations with the Unruly Crew and The Basement Boys. Karizma (aka Kaytronik, K2, Xander Knevrmind) has worked with renowned artists like Osunlade, Atjazz, Rick Wilhite, Deetron, and Dennis Ferrer to name a few, and has countless production and re-mix credits to his name.

This past September, Karizma and DJ Open headlined the inaugural Zapateo, a new musical festival celebrating DC & Baltimore artists, bands and DJs, which Dance Club also supported at its pool party.

Originally just another face in the crowd of warehouse partygoers, DC-based Artemis.105 is known these days for lighting designs that regularly melt brains and other bodily organs, at parties like Noxeema Jackson, Hast Du Feuer, 140+, and Friends With Benefits. He has a unique ability to transform empty space into an atmospheric experience.

Dreamweaver is the DC area’s first full Paraflex soundsystem: a “High” order quarter wave enclosure that uses the same idea of double bouncing on a trampoline to produce high sound pressure smoothly across the frequency spectrum. The hand-built rig was constructed with the goal of creating a music experience that fully immerses the audience in high quality, ground shaking audio. The team is comprised of NOVA locals Basse, Babel, Cobbla, Kevin Pons, Gordo, Moejay James and Paturn who all pride themselves in bringing han’ crafted audio to the Underground.”
